ALL ABOUT WHITE WASH OAK
White Wash Oak, also known as White Oak, is a slightly bleached and precision milled version of the globally popular oak species. White Oak trees primarily grow in abundance in several Parts North America, Europe, and Canada. White Oak trees are slow growing and very large trunked trees. Often growing to over 100 feet tall and over 4 feet in diameter. Because of this White Oak is commonly available in ultra long and wide planks making it a perfect choice for flooring. Coloring tends to consist of light browns to dark tan hues. Sapwood and heartwood have similar colors and grain patterns.

Sapwood tends to be lighter in color. White Oak tends to have a silvery grain structure and a course texture. White Oak is a beautiful candidate for stained finishes as it tends to absorb them well and its strong grain patterns are greatly enhanced by tinting the coloring. White Oak is used in numerous applications from flooring to construction to furniture making. It is a wonderful and natural product.
