BR-111™ Exotic Hardwood Flooring ramped up its October Green Month celebration Friday, October 19th with a special event entitled “A Taste of New York,” hosted with House & Garden magazine in the city’s famed Union Square Green Market. The event featured five of New York’s top chefs demonstrating their culinary talents in a tented mobile kitchen anchored by BR-111’s eco-friendly Triângulo® Engineered flooring.

A Taste of New York was among more than 40 events that House & Garden produced as part of their first ever “Design Happening,” a weeklong celebration (October 15 – 21) featuring the best of New York design, architecture, entertainment and cuisine. As a sponsor, the BR-111™ brand gained valuable exposure on CBS radio and television, as well as advertising in House & Garden and promotional signage throughout the city.

BR-111™ mounted this year’s Green Month promotion to raise awareness of the company’s commitment to sustainable forestry and the growing environmental movement in the hardwood flooring industry. The Green Market provided a perfect venue for the message, because it’s known for promoting regional agriculture and the preservation of farmland, while providing local restaurants and residents a continuous supply of organically grown produce.
